The Arizona Capitol Museum brings history to life every day through exhibitions, special events, and tours. More than 20 exhibits tell Arizona's story from territorial days to the present.

The Arizona History and Archives Division identifies, collects, preserves and provides access to the historical manuscripts, government records, books and photographs of Arizona and its peoples.

The Archives contains four basic types of collections: archival collections, oral histories, photograph collections and the Arizona Collection.

The Law and Research Library Division provides information services relating to the Library's collections. Materials in the collections include historical Arizona, federal and international legal materials; federal and Arizona state agency publications; genealogy resources; maps; Arizona newspapers; periodicals and professional materials relating to libraries, archives, museums and records management.

Through the Library Development Division, the Agency takes a leadership role in coordinating statewide planning and development of library services. A staff of professional library consultants works closely with public libraries to help define and meet the wide variety of information needs that exist in the state.

The Records Management Division is responsible for establishing standards, procedures and techniques for effective management of the public records of Arizona state and local government.
